Wonersh Age Concern & Lunch Club
Wonersh Age Concern is a small committee who work to support all older residents in the village in a variety of ways.
Our main activity is to run a weekly Lunch Club every Monday except Bank Holidays and during August.
A group of volunteers cook a delicious three course lunch whilst other volunteers give lifts, lay tables, serve and wash up. It is a great opportunity for residents who would otherwise be eating alone or who are finding it a chore to cook to get together in a friendly and sociable way, make new friends and share their news and views.

In addition we keep in contact with Age UK Surrey and Waverley Borough Council and can offer information on where to go for help and advice for all manner of things to make staying in your own home easier such as the ‘Help at Home’ service, Gardening service and much more. We also know that living alone, losing your mobility or maybe having to give up driving can be very isolating and lonely and we love to hear from anyone who would like some company or someone to chat to.
We also organise the occasional village tea or outing or other social activity in addition to the Lunch Club.

If you would like to help us and volunteer with the Monday Lunch Club or would like to help in any other way do please get in touch as we always welcome extra help.

If you know of anyone who might enjoy our Lunch Club do please let us know.
